Paths to Parenthub: How might my child feel about their conception?
Time & Location
About the Event
I’ll be chatting to Gerry McCluskey, a Fertility Counsellor with vast experience and a special interest in the broad range of ways families are formed, about what can be one of the biggest worries we as parents face after donor conception.
Whilst no-one can truly know how each individual will feel, we will explore what research can tell us, how donor conception has evolved over time and what the spectrum of responses might be. This will include talking about the importance of sharing information with our children, how identity formation works over the different developmental stages and how we as parents can build our own resilience to best support our children as they grow.
We’ll hear from two donor conceived adults, Kate and Lou, who will be sharing their different personal experiences, whilst also considering some real-life scenarios that we might be faced with and how we as parents might deal with them.
As with all Paths to Parenthub webinars, members have the chance to shape the conversation by submitting your questions ahead of the webinar and on the night.
